Armstrong Dance Team (ADT) is comprised of two dance teams; Fall Performance Dance Team which is a non-competitive team that performs at school and community events; and Winter Competition Dance Team, which is a highly competitive sport at Armstrong High School where dancers utilize technique, endurance, and performance ability in two routines: high-kick and jazz/funk. Many dancers participate in both seasons. Our fall performance team has an active season between August and October with fundraising and social activities scheduled throughout the summer. During the season, ADT performs multiple routines including pom, kick and hip hop at football games, soccer games, pep-fests, dance showcases, parades and more. Our winter competitive team is preparing for its 12th season since the program was re-started in 2012. What started as a hope and dream with only ten dancers is now becoming a fast-developing program of 29 dancers, with both Varsity and Junior Varsity Jazz and High Kick teams and B squad Jazz. ADT is a member of the Northwest Suburban Conference.
