Fall Tryout Information |
Spring Evaluations will be held April 29th and May 2nd at Armstrong High School from 4:15pm-5:45pm
About joining the team:
— The Fall Performance team will begin in August and last until end of October.
— Tryouts for the Fall performance team are open to rising 9th through 12th graders.
— New this year: We will be hosting joint Captain's practices prior to tryouts. This is optional for all dancers interested in the ADT program. This will be held at Armstrong High School on 4/3, 4/8, 4/10 4/22, 5/1 & 5/8 from 3:45-5:00pm. Please wear comfortable dance attire and bring a water bottle.
- Spring tryouts are for anyone interested in the Fall performance team. (Note: Fall performance tryouts will be held 100% in person.) Tryouts will be held at Armstrong High School on 4/29 & 5/2 from 4:15-5:45pm
Current 8th graders interested in trying out please arrive as soon as possible to the tryout. We understand not all of you will be able to arrive by 4:15 due to the school end time.

Before fall practices begin Aug. 5, please ensure your physical is updated. You can check https://ahs.rdale.org/activities/activities or in the activities office. You will not be able to participate if your physical is not up to date.
A dancer/parent/coach meeting will be held after the tryouts are completed.
Other information:
— There will be no cuts for fall; all who come to tryouts will be a part of the fall dance team! The spring tryout days served as an introduction to the team and provide coaches with information on each member of the team.
— All AHS students (and rising 9th graders) are welcome regardless of gender or dance experience.
You will also need to complete the registration requirements below prior to regular fall practices beginning Aug. 1.
AHS Athletics Registration Information
All participants in activities programs at Armstrong High School must be fully registered prior to the participant's tryout and/or first practice. Online registration is encouraged; paper forms can be picked up at the Armstrong Activities Office or downloaded from the Robbinsdale District website. Full registration and participation details are also found on the district website, and will be available in July to complete.
Registration forms and participation fees can be returned to the Activities Office during office hours: 7:00 am to 2:30 pm OR scanned and emailed to [email protected]
